The cobbled and narrow streets of German Village slow you down with each step. For a shorter step, it's a good rate for a Teacup Teddy Bear. They also shed little, making them easy to clean up inside. A Columbus family with allergies will notice the difference quickly. Little pleasures such as these add up.

Round-Faced, Soft-Coated Puppies Bringing Steady Companionship to Every Corner of Columbus Daily
Teacup teddy bears are generally not purebred but a mix of two breeds. In this case, it's a special mix of Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise. They typically have a soft coat with little shedding. Generally, coat type can vary slightly because different breeds are randomly mixed. They have dark blue eyes and round faces, so they appear constantly curious. They are easily distracted and can go from being calm inside to being playful outside. They enjoy a break from brick sidewalks in German Village's Schiller Park, an open green space. Nearby, socializing is an inevitable part of walking dogs together. At Up and Away Pups, we match personality to household pace, not just looks. Describe your ideal home and we will find the perfect match.

Frequently Asked Questions
Helping You Feel Confident About Your Puppy Journey
Are Teacup Teddy Bears Good for Allergy Sufferers?
They are generally hypoallergenic but not always. Fewer loose hairs help reduce dander. Dogs are not entirely allergen-free. If your family has a history of allergies, spend time with a puppy first.
How Long Do Teacup Teddy Bears Usually Live?
With proper care, most live 12 to 15 years. Genetics from both parent breeds does play a role. Routine checkups can catch small issues early. Healthy eating and a routine increase your lifespan.
Is a Teacup Teddy Bear Suited to German Village's Brick Streets?
With care, indeed. The brick surface is uneven and difficult for little legs. Less strain on small joints with shorter walks. The grassy paths of Schiller Park offer a nearby gentler alternative. Watch out for limping after long trips.
Can I Walk My Puppy Along the Scioto Mile?
Yes, you can walk your dog on most of the riverfront path, as long as it is on a leash. Please don't bring pets to the fountain area. Weekday mornings are usually less busy than weekends. Please bring water, since shade along the river is limited.
