Finding Your New Furry Best Friend
Selecting the perfect puppy for your home involves a thoughtful process. At Up and Away Pups, we've streamlined puppy adoption steps to ensure a seamless match between potential pet owners and their ideal furry companions. 1. Personalized Consultation
Begin the journey in the dog adoption process with a personalized consultation. Our experienced team takes the time to understand your lifestyle, activity level, living situation, and preferences. This initial conversation sets the foundation for a tailored matchmaking process.
2. Breed Matching
Based on the information gathered, our specialists can guide you through a curated selection of breeds that align with your lifestyle. Each breed has its characteristics, energy levels, and temperament. You can consult with our team to ensure a harmonious match between a puppy's traits and your preferences.
3. Meet-and-Greet
Once potential matches are identified, the next step in the dog adoption process is arranging a meet-and-greet session. This allows you to interact with the puppies to get a feel for their personalities and ensure a strong connection. Our team can answer any questions and guide the encounter.
4. Education and Training Guidance
Our process goes beyond securing puppy adoption papers and other essentials. We take on a holistic approach since adopting a puppy comes with responsibilities. We provide comprehensive information on each breed's specific needs, training requirements, and care tips. The Adoption Process
After you have found your new furry friend, adopting your puppy begins.
Make a deposit
After selecting your new pup, the next step is to make a $200 deposit. Once your deposit is received, we will remove your dog chosen from the list and send you a confirmation email regarding the next steps you should take. Your deposit will be applied towards the entirety of your adoption fee.
Vet Clearing
Your selected pup will need a checkup with our vet. This process ensures your new fur buddy is healthy and fit to travel home with you. Once our vet has cleared your puppy, you will have 48 hours to pick up your new fur baby. There will be a daily charge of $50 holding fee for each day after the 48 hours.
Scheduling Meet and Greets
We encourage potential pet owners to schedule meet and greets before adopting a puppy. Please call 336-915-2510 or email us at info@happytailpuppies.com to make an appointment. Meet and greet appointments should be made 24 hours before the scheduled date.
